I've blended rich, deep burgundy tones on this unique keepsake wooden coffin, with bright crimson red accents of hearts and polymer clay swirls behind the trio of polymer clay skulls (which have glow in the dark elements). Low-lighted contrasts of a web-like circuit of black attached to the heart which flourishes upwards in surrounding swirls all about, and dripping down along the sides.
And yes, those are indeed sparkly, heart-shaped rhinestones lining the entire outside of the coffin.
Plus, like all of my Cackling Coffins, it includes the addition of a blood-red resin rose to cover the portal which senses light and initializes the 'cackling' sound, as well as a tiny parchment with the poem:
"Remove the Rose and you shall hear
the Laughter of the Dead
Return the Rose and then the Dead
shall sleep in Peace again..."
A scroll of ownership is also included, which details just what this very special holiday (Day of the Dead, or Dia de los Muertos in Spanish) truly means: a loving yearly remembrance and heartfelt tribute to those who have passed on. Gone they may be, but never, ever forgotten.
